Gallagher speaks about Chelsea’s new boss Maresca
Chelsea star Conor Gallagher has expressed his excitement to work with the Blues newly appointed manager Enzo Maresca next season.
While Maresca could be described as relatively new and inexperienced in regards to coaching a big club like Chelsea, Gallagher had a few positive words to say about the new boss.
In statement with Evening Standard, the Blues players who said he is excited, added that he has heard good things and seen good things about the new manager.
It is, however, uncertain that Gallagher, who is in the last 13 months of his contract, will get a chance to work with Maresca after the Euros.
This comes as Gallagher has been linked with moves away from Chelsea especially with biggest supporter at the club, Mauricio Pochettino gone.
A report via The Athletic revealed that “preliminary talks” have been held between Aston Villa and Chelsea to sign Gallagher for Unai Emery, who is said to be “a huge admirer” of the 24-year-old midfielder.
Should the deal go as expected Gallagher may soon find himself at Aston Villa, which could bring his time at Chelsea to an end.
We will have to wait to see how the summer window will play out for Gallagher.
