Gallagher reacts to link away from Chelsea
Chelsea star Conor Gallagher has reacted to the report linking him with moves away from Stamford Bridge this summer.
Gallagher is one of the players Chelsea are willing to sell this summer and so far Aston Villa are said to have taken interest in him.
However, Aston Villa must be ready to pay the Blues £50million valuation of the midfielder.
They would also face completion from Tottenham Hotspur, who hold a long-term interest in the England international.
Gallagher has 12 months on his current contracts and the likelihood of the Blues granting him and extension is low.
However, the English midfielder who is currently in Germany preparing for the Three Lions’ Euros opener against Serbia on Sunday evening has reacted to the reports of his transfer as he stated that he is focused on international tournament.
Addressing the press on Thursday afternoon, the 24-year-old midfielder stated that he is still Chelsea player as his thought are on England and the tournament.
“I’ve been focusing on England. This is the most important thing right now for me. I just want to start the tournament now,” he said.
During former manager Mauricio Pochettino’s reign, Gallagher was a regular as he made 50 appearances in all competitions for the Blues last season.
