Future at stake: Chelsea expected to take decision on Pochettino at the end of the season

Chelsea’s embarrassing 5-0 defeat to Arsenal in the last Premier League outing has put manager Mauricio Pochettino on the hot seat.

The future of Argentine is now at stake as there are reports that some Chelsea fans want him out immediately.

There are also fans who think Pochettino should be allow to see the club through to the end of the season with six games left.

Chelsea have had it tough since American billionaire Todd Boehly and his associate took over.

Despite signing Pochettino as their new manager last summer, Chelsea have continue to struggle with nothing to show for the millions splashed during the last two transfer windows.

Popular transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has shared his take on Pochettino’s future at Stamford Bridge.

Romano stressed that the Blues’ hierarchy were yet to reach an actual decision on Pochettino’s future yet and will wait till the end of the season before taking any step.

This means Pochettino will remain at the dug till the end of the season before talks will hold on whether to replace him or not.

As of now Chelsea are 9th on the league table with no chance of ending this campaign with a title.

Romano said on his Here We Go Podcast, on Wednesday: “The future of Mauricio Pochettino has not changed today! It was business as usual at Chelsea. They will give him the opportunity to go to the end of the season. Talkswill happen at the end of the season but nothing is imminent.”
