Former Manchester United forward Dimitar Berbatov has revealed what Chelsea’s summer signing Thiago Silva is suffering from in the Premier League.

Thiago Silva joined Chelsea from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer and has been able to form a great partnership with Kurt Zouma who is currently having his best season at Chelsea.

However, he has not been able to help the London club this past few weeks as they’ve struggled to accumulate points, winning just one of their last six matches.

Their current form has raised eyebrows from football fans as well as pundits who believes Frank Lampard should be dominating the league due to his spending during the last transfer window.

However, Berbatov while speaking with Betfair noted that Thiago Silva has played a huge impact in the club bad run of form.

According to the former Tottenham Hotspur striker, Thiago Silva is 36 when he moved to Chelsea although he hasn’t been that bad but to him it looks as though he is struggling to keep up with the pace of the Premier League.

This will come as surprise to some Chelsea fans as Thiago Silva has been hailed for his performance during this past few weeks despite Chelsea bad form.
