Former Chelsea midfielder, Glenn Hoddle has lauded Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard’s performance in their recent Premier League 3-1 win against the Blues on Tuesday night.

Hoddle, who found Odegaard’s impressive, applauded the Norwegian for his clever run and terrific finish for his first goal against Chelsea.

Recall that Odegaard’s brace and a goal from Gabriel Jesus gave the Gunners the three points win over Chelsea at Emirates Stadium.

“Look at the time and space [Arsenal] have behind the three midfield players there. You look at [Martin] Odegaard, it is a very, very clever run. He sorts of checks out [for his first goal],” Hoddle said via HITC.

“It is the first time we see [Oleksandr] Zinchenko actually go into a normal left-back position. He picks out a lovely little ball inside. There’s the spare man [Granit Xhaka]. They find him. Nobody has latched onto Odegaard, the ball has passed Kovacic and it is a fabulous finish. Great finish,” he added.

In another report, Odegaard won the Man of the Match during Arsenal’s game vs Chelsea.
