Former Chelsea midfielder tipped to succeed at Man Utd

Former Liverpool star, Graeme Souness has tipped Manchester United’s summer signing Mason Mount to flourish at Old Trafford this season.

According to Souness, Mount has shown how good he is to handle the expectation of playing for club and country.

Recall that Mount left Chelsea to join Manchester United this summer in a deal worth £60 million.

The midfielder is expected to be in action when Man Utd take on the Wolves on Monday in their first match of the season.

“He has great technique and works his socks off. He is also leaving a big club to join, arguably, the biggest club,” Souness told the Daily Mail.

“But he has shown he can handle the expectation of playing for Chelsea and England and if he takes to his new surroundings at Old Trafford, he could be a star. He needs to get more goals playing that far up the field.

“His record at Chelsea was one in six, which is good, but the challenge is to make that even better. I think he will be a very good player for Manchester United.”
