West Ham have appointed a new manager in person of former Chelsea coach, Graham Potter.

Potter, in a reaction to his appointment, expressed happiness after landing the new managerial job.

The Englishman’s appointment was made public on Thursday as he replaced Julen Lopetegui, who was recently sacked.

According to the reports, Potter arrived at the Hammers on a two-and-a-half year contract and will take charge of his new team for the first time when they travel to Aston Villa in the FA Cup third round on Friday evening.

“I am delighted to be here,” Potter told the club’s website.

Potter added that his new role at West Ham is important to him as he waited until a job came along and believe it was right for him, and equally that he was the right fit for the club.

The new boss at West Ham has coached Premier League clubs like Chelsea and Brighton in the past.
