Spanish striker Diego Costa might be facing his former club Chelsea when the two team meet in the Champions League round of 16 clash as a positive news about his injury has surfaced.

Diego Costa was diagnosed with a blood clot in his leg which would have kept him out of action for a significant period of time but it seems things have changed over the past few weeks.

It is being reported from Spanish Media that the former Chelsea striker is returning to action and even better news was seen on Atletico Madrid’s social media feed in training.

The club posted a picture of Costa trying to control the ball with a caption that indicates he’s back in training.

Diego spent three seasons at Chelsea and won two Premier League titles but left the London-based club to return to Atletico Madrid where he made his name with Diego Simeone.

His three seasons with Chelsea were memorable as he scored some important goals as he became a prominent figure in Stamford Bridge.

Atletico Madrid have reached the summit in the La Liga and become one of the favourites to claim the title by the end of the season, despite Diego Costa’s absence.
