Manchester United midfielder and Portugal captain, Bruno Fernandes, has reacted to the report of him snubbing his new team-mate Andre Onana, during their pre-season defeat to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The Red Devils captain was accused of petulance in the past and was criticised for an incident during Thursday’s game.

A highlight from the match in the 35th minute showed the moment Madrid were awarded a corner and Onana began to instruct his teammates to get into position to defend.

Fernandes appeared to have ignored the goalkeeper, with the two brushing shoulders that stirred criticism on social media.

A caption to the viral clip of the incident on Instagram read: “Captain Bruno doesn’t want anyone to correct him or advise him. Bruno completely ignores new signing Onana.”

Fernandes in a response to the video clip, wrote: “Nice how you could see me ignoring him when I was going to the place he was telling me to be positioned in the corner.

“Nice try to make it look bad.”
