Former Man Utd star Rio Ferdinand has supported Arsenal’s bid to sign Man City star Gabriel Jesus.

The report claimed Arsenal are eyeing a new striker this summer, after failing to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who join Barcelona in January.

Mikel Arteta is determined to sign a striker especially with both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah set to become free agents and are linked with departure from the club in the summer.

Ferdinand believes Jesus would impress at Arsenal if he gets regular game time.

“You speak to players about him, they appreciate him because he puts a good workload in, he has got quality.

“I think if he plays consistently in a team like Arsenal, I think he gets you goals.

“By the way, [Eddie] Nketiah at the weekend [against Manchester United] I thought was brilliant. Held up the ball well, brought others into the game,” Ferdinand said on Vibe with Five.

We would have to wait the summer to know if the transfer will happen or not.
