FA hands punishment to Tuchel and Conte after touchline bust-up

The Football Association FA has hanged Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel’s one-game touchline ban after his altercation with Antonio Conte in the aftermath of their 2-2 draw with Tottenham.

Aside from this, Tuchel was also fined £35,000 for improper conduct, while Conte has been fined £15,000.

Tuchel’s touchline ban is, however, unlikely to stand temporarily, pending the full written reasons for the decision.

This means the Blues manager will take his place in the dugout for Sunday’s Premier League clash at Leeds.

Tuchel and Conte were involved in a heated exchange that almost let to a fight last weekend throughout the London derby.

The two managers were eventually booked during the game and sent off at full-time by referee Anthony Taylor.

The FA’s separate investigation into Tuchel’s post-match media comments in relation to this fixture remains ongoing.
