Chelsea player Mykhailo Mudryk has expressed how delighted he was to have his name on the scoresheet against Leeds United in the FA Cup.

Mudryk has now scored five goals this season as Chelsea secured safe passage to the next round of the FA Cup with a 3-2 victory over Leeds United.

The Ukrainian converted the Blues’ second goal after Nicolas Jackson equalised following the away side’s early opener.

After the break, Leeds scored an equaliser through Mateo Joesph but it was Conor Gallagher who fired Chelsea into the quarter-finals in stoppage time.

Speaking after the tie, Mudryk was pleased to help Chelea set up a fixture with Leicester City in the next round and is excited about the Blues’ chances in the cup competition.

‘There are very positive emotions, especially because we won and I helped my team with the goal I scored,’ Mudryk began.

‘Every win helps the team to grow in confidence and especially this win because we move forward in this cup and try to get to another final.’
