EPL: Tuchel says Arsenal increased pressure on Chelsea

Ahead of Chelsea clash vs. Leicester City in the Premier League on Tuesday night, the Blues manager, Thomas Tuchel has said that their defeat to the Foxes in the FA Cup final had nothing to do with the race to finish in the top four on the EPL table.

Recall that the Blues suffered a defeat in the FA Cup final against Leicester City as the game ended in a 1-0 scoreline.

Tuchel however insisted that Arsenal increased the pressure on Chelsea in the Premier League.

The Blues were defeated at their home stadium last week in the Premier League.

According to Tuchel in a pre-match statement ahead of clash vs. Leicester City in the EPL, he said, “Arsenal increased the pressure for the game on Tuesday. Today was an isolated game, it has nothing to do with the race for the top 4 or the Champions League final.”

He stressed that the Gunners increased the pressure, unfortunately, for Tuesday not the FA Cup final.

Tuchel also admitted that Chelsea are not strong enough to handle the situation that comes with making it to the final of the FA Cup and UCL and also making it to the top four on the league table.
