EPL: Potter reacts to Mudryk’s debut vs Liverpool
Chelsea boss Graham Potter in a recent statement gave his verdict on Mykhailo Mudryk’s performance in his debut against Liverpool on Saturday.
Mudryk, who Chelsea signed from Shakhtar Donetsk for a fee of around £89 million this January started the game from the bench in the 55th minute.
Upon entering the pitch, the Ukraine winger, who had been linked to Arsenal, brought the game to life with a lot of energy, fine runs, good passes and splendid decision-making and was unlucky not to have found the net in his debut.
The game ended in a goalless draw between the Blues and the host.
When asked about the 22-year-old’s performance against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side, Potter said, “He’s not played football for a while, he’s been on a mid-season break.
“We had to manage his minutes, but you can see his quality.”
Hopefully, Mudryk gets to start in the Blues’ next game and score his first goal.
