EPL: Man City vs Chelsea – Tuchel told to drop Lukaku

Chelsea will on Saturday make a trip to Etihad Stadium, where they will play league toppers Man City in the EPL.

The match promises to be an interesting one; however, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has been advised to drop his key striker Romelu Lukaku against Man City.

This is according to former England midfielder Fara Williams, who advised Tuchel to keep Lukaku on the bench during the clash against Manchester City.

Williams believes the Belgian striker is too desperate and feels it will be better Tuchel makes use of Kai Havertz instead.

“I think Kai Havertz could be a better shout against Man City than Lukaku,” the ex-Everton star told Premier League productions.

“Lukaku looks like a player lacking confidence. He…is desperate to show he wants to be there.

“He was so desperate against Tottenham….Whilst he’s in that frame of mind, it might be better not to play.

“I feel like he’s not at the levels that Havertz is at right now, and Chelsea need everyone at their best to beat Man City.”

Lukaku got into trouble at Chelsea after his controversial interview with Sky Sport Italia, where he revealed he wants to return to Inter Milan.
