Leicester City will be making a short trip to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night when they face Chelsea in the Premier League.

However, ahead of the clash, Leicester City have been hit by a major injury blow as one of their key players, Jonny Evans wouldn’t be available for the match due to a heels injury.

This was confirmed by the Foxes coach, Brendan Rogers in a pre-match statement.

Recall that Evans sustained the injury during Leicester City’s FA Cup final victory vs Chelsea over the weekend at Wembley.

“He [Evans] won’t play in the game [against Chelsea]. He will struggle for that,” Rodgers told reporters at his pre-match press conference on Monday.

He noted that Evans could be available for their weekend game but not the match against Chelsea.

While speaking ahead of their clash vs. the Blues, Rogers went on to hail the West London club as he said they are in the Champions League final for a reason and have got an excellent squad.

“We have to work hard and be equally aggressive and see if we can make our chances count,” he said.

While Leicester are currently at the third spot on the EPL log table with 66 points from 36 games, Chelsea on the other hand are at the fourth spot with 64 points from the same number of matches.
