EPL: Chelsea gave West Ham two goals – Silva reacts

Chelsea defender and Brazil international Thiago Silva has reacted to the Blues defeat to West Ham over the weekend.

Silva and Mason Mount scored my goal for the Blues, but it was not enough to save them against West Ham as the game ended in a 3-2 scoreline.

Reacting to the defeat vs West Ham, Silva stressed that Chelsea gave the Hammers the opportunities to score.

The Brazil international noted that this is not the first time Chelsea will be making such a mistake as they have done so in some of their previous games.

“It’s not like West Ham created lots of opportunities, we gave them two goals,” Silva told Chelsea’s official website.

“We have to take more care because that’s two or three matches now where we have given the opposition a goal.

“The first and third goals were a bit unlikely, a bit difficult to explain. I don’t think the third was a shot, he was trying to cross the ball and it went in the goal.

‘It’s the first time this season we have conceded three goals in the same match.”

Chelsea will face Zenit next on Wednesday in the UCL.
