EPL: Chelsea chances of winning dented by Brighton

Chelsea can now forget about winning the Premier League title this season after their chances of winning was further dented by Brighton on Tuesday night at Amex stadium.

The Blues had earlier lost to league toppers Man City on Sunday in a game that ended in a 1-0 scoreline and saw the difference between them and the Citizens move to 13 points.

While many had expected Chelsea to pick three points against Brighton to close the gap between them and Man City, they ended up splitting the points, with the game ending in a 1-1 scoreline.

Chelsea scored the lead goal in the first half thanks to an effort from Hakim Ziyech, but Brighton’s Adam Webster would later head in from a corner in the second half and give the home side a point as well.

The truth is Chelsea were not impressive in the game as Brighton were the better side and deserved to win all three points.

Despite scoring the lead goal in the first half, Chelsea failed to build on the moment to restore their lead and claim victory.

The outcome of the match means the gap between the Blues and league leaders Manchester City is now 12 points.

Chelsea will have to focus on other tournaments and forget about winning the EPL title this season.
