It appears Chelsea are on the verge of losing their second striker this summer as the recent report revealed Timo Werner has arrived in Germany for his medicals with RB Leipzig.

Werner has been linked with a return to the Bundesliga club two years after leaving for Stamford Bridge.

“Timo Werner has landed in Leipzig in order to undergo medical tests and then sign a contract as a new RB Leipzig player – he’s together with his agents as Chelsea approved the deal.

“Chelsea will receive €20m fixed fee plus add-ons. Šeško will sign now but for 2023,” football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, tweeted.

Werner’s departure comes after he struggled to impress at Chelsea and went on to lose regular game time.

His departure comes after Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku left Chelsea for Italian side Inter Milan this summer.

Chelsea will have to sign a replacement for Werner before the transfer market closes in a matter of days.
