Cucurella linked with shocking moves to Chelsea’s rival

Manchester United have been linked with a move to sign Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella.

The Red Devils are said to be considering the possibility of signing Cucurella on loan for their manager Erik ten Hag before the summer transfer window closes in September.

The shocking moves come as Man United lost their two left-backs, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia to injury.

While Malacia is expected back next month, there is no return date for Shaw at the moment which is a big blow for Ten Hag.

During their weekend match against Nottingham Forest in Saturday’s Premier League tie at Old Trafford, Diogo Dalot filled in at left-back but reinforcements even on a short-term basis are desperately needed in that position.

There are claims that the Red Devils are looking at signing former Chelsea defender Ryan Bertrand who has been a free agent since exiting Leicester City over the summer.

Popular transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a statement revealed Man United have opened talks to bring Cucurella in as an emergency loan deal this summer.

The Red Devils have contacted the Blues about what the conditions would be to sign the Spain defender but the move is in its early days which means there is ‘no bid or concrete talks yet’.
