Conference League: Palmer speaks amid removal from Chelsea’s squad

Chelsea will return to action in the Europa Conference League in midweek following their recent defeat to Liverpool in the Premier League.

Chelsea star player Cole Palmer in a recent statement spoke about his fitness, stating that he has no concerns about it.

Palmer made this known in reaction to Enzo Maresca excluding him out of the Blues’ Europa Conference League squad.

After an impressive debut season at Stamford Bridge, the 22-year-old continues to be the Blues talisman this season with six goals and five assists in the Premier League so far.

However, Maresca’s squad will have to navigate the first part of their European season without Palmer, after he was not named in their squad.

When asked if he has concerns over his own fitness, Palmer responded via The Telegraph: “Not really.

He added that the club management’s decision was for the best, and he is focused on keeping fit and ready for the next opportunities.

Palmer would get enough time to rest and prepare for the Blues next game come weekend.

Chelsea will hope to bounce back with a win during the week after they dropped points against the Reds.
