Chelsea summer transfer plans so far has stirred reaction from their former player William Gallas.

In a recent statement, former Chelsea defender, Gallas, slammed the Blues’ recruitment team amid the ongoing summer transfer window.

According to Gallas, the west London side’s recruitment team have failed this summer as he queried their move to sign a new goalkeeper.

Gallas shared his opinion while speaking on the recent media reports which disclosed that Chelsea are planning to sign another goalkeeper, Filip Jørgensen, from Villarreal to create competition for Robert Sanchez.

The Frenchman in a statement via Gambling Zone queried why the Blues want to strengthen their squad with another goalkeeper. He stressed that the moves meant the Blues don’t think what they have at the Stamford Bridge is good enough.

He added that it means that the Blues don’t rate Djordje Petrovic or Kepa Arrizabalaga, which if true showed that Chelsea’s recruitment team has failed.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s pre-season games under their newly appointed manager Enzo Maresca have left their fans worried especially after their 4-1 defeat to Celtic over the weekend.

The West London club who are currently touring the US had being held to a draw in their first pre-season game against Wrexham.
