It’s no longer news that Frank Lampard has finally been discharged of his duties at Chelsea but that may serve as a gridlock to some of the blues plan in the transfer window.

Chelsea have been linked with some top players in the transfer window as the blues are willing to compete with other top clubs in all department.

The likes of RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano, West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice and Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland have been linked with moves to Stamford Bridge.

However, it’s the deal of former youth player Declan Rice that has made the headlines on countless occasion as Chelsea were ready to add him to their ranks.

According to The Guardians, Chelsea are now ready to end their pursuit of the England international as they are willing to sort out the deal of Thomas Tuchel, the favourite to replace Frank Lampard.

Chelsea are willing to let go of Declan Rice in their plans as Tuchel will be tasked in bringing out the best in Kai Havertz who was signed on a club record deal from Bayern Leverkusen.

The price tag of Declan Rica has also served as a stumbling block with Chelsea ready to work on the players Frank Lampard spent a fortune on during the last transfer window.
