Chelsea’s defender speaks on 2-1 win vs Crystal Palace
Chelsea defender Malo Gusto has reacted to his performance during the Blues’ recent win vs Crystal Palace.
The versatile France international set the pace for the opener against Crytal Palace on the right-flank, before concluding it with an assist for goalscorer Mykhailo Mudryk on the opposite wing.
Gusto opined that his flexibility is a key attribute, especially during closely fought battles such as the one against Crystal Palace, where he eventually walked to left-back following the substitution of Levi Colwill.
‘I have to try to play everywhere,’ he said.
‘The coach asked me to go over to the left side and I will try my best every time. I’m ready to play anywhere.
‘The game was very difficult. It was difficult to score but we are very happy to return to winning ways. We hope we can stay like this.
‘I try to do my best every time I am on the pitch. I want to be fit for every game and to stay focused. I am happy that I played a part [against Crystal Palace].’
