Ahead of the January transfer window, a report has revealed the Blues are yet to open talks for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa.

This comes as 24-year-old Chiesa is nearly 18 months through his two-year loan spell with the Old Ladies from Fiorentina, with Juventus having an option to sign him permanently next summer.

While the reports revealed that Juventus are ready to spend around €60m (£51m) on Chiesa, he has, however, been linked with moves to Chelsea, who are said to be interested in the player.

According to football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel “loves” Chiesa and believes he is “one of the best wingers in the game”.

However, Romano stressed that Juventus are not prepared to sell Chiesa next summer and claimed that neither the Italian outfit nor the winger’s representatives had held talks with the Blues over a potential transfer to Stamford Bridge.

Chiesa was impressive for his home country Italy during the Euro 2020.

And so far this season, he has made 16 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
