Chelsea urged to hijack Man Utd target instead of pursuing Andrea Cambiaso

Chelsea have been urged to reconsider their search for a new left-back, with former Blues striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink encouraging the club to pursue Lewis Hall instead of Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso.

The Blues are looking to strengthen the left side of their defence following Marc Cucurella’s departure to Real Madrid. New head coach Xabi Alonso is keen to reinforce his squad ahead of the new campaign, and Cambiaso has emerged as one of Chelsea’s leading targets after discussions were held over a potential transfer.

While the Italy international is admired for his versatility and attacking qualities, Hasselbaink believes Chelsea should instead focus on bringing Hall back to Stamford Bridge.
