In a recent statement, Chelsea has made their stance known about selling their striker and Germany international Timo Werner in the summer transfer window.

Despite Timo Werner’s poor performance since his arrival at Stamford Bridge, which made the Blues sign Romelu Lukuku from Inter Milan in the summer, they are, however, determined to keep the German striker at the club.

The latest report via Sky Sports Germany revealed that Chelsea are not actively looking to sell Werner at the upcoming transfer window.

The report added that the European champions and Premier League giants will instead consider approaches for the German international as Borussia Dortmund expresses interest in bringing him back to Germany.

The Blues are believed to be happy with Werner’s contributions over the past 21 months and have not put him up for sale but are willing to sit down with Dortmund and hear their proposal.

There are yet to be clear interest from Dortmund, and as such, it is uncertain f they will make a move for him.

Werner played in the German Bundesliga for seven before signing for RB Leipzig and then Chelsea.
