Chelsea, Tottenham in race for Nice defender

Chelsea and Tottenham have been linked with moves for Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo in the ongoing summer transfer window.

The report via Telefoot revealed Chelsea and Tottenham are already in talks about Jean-Clair Todibo as they seek the defender to join their squad.

However, they are faced with complications in completing the deal as OGC Nice intends to keep the centre-back.

While there are possibilities that Todibo could move to the Premier League this month, Nice have taken up a firm stance about a move.

The French Ligue 1 club are not interested in a sale now but would be open to selling him in the summer.

While Nice have not revealed their price for Todibo, there are already suggestions that the defender could leave for a price higher than €40 million.

Some reports claimed Nice could demand as much as €60 million, which would be double the price paid for Jean-Michel Seri, who they sold to Fulham for €30 million.
