The latest report have claimed that Chelsea are ready to submit a fresh bid for Wesley Fofana after their initial offer was rejected by Leicester City a few days ago.

This is according to Rudy Galetti, who said Chelsea are in the race to complete a move for Fofana as they have already reached a personal agreement with him.

Chelsea are determined to welcome at least a new defender to Stamford Bridge before the close of the summer window.

After losing out in the race for Jules Kounde, who went on to join Barcelona from Sevilla, Fofana emerged as one of the options Chelsea have considered as an option to sign.

Having failed with a first bid for the defender, Chelsea are ready to submit a second bit with the Foxes believed to be demanding a world-record fee for him.

According to Rudy Galetti, Chelsea remain determined to prise Fofana away from Leicester despite the huge asking price and are ready to launch another move for him.

They would have to be ready to meet the Foxes’ financial expectations as they are not ready to let him leave this summer.
