Chelsea to sign another Brighton star after Caicedo

Recent reports via talkSPORT revealed Chelsea are planning to secure a move for Brighton striker Evan Ferguson.

There are claims that the Blues have been monitoring Ferguson for some time and hope to sign him in the ongoing January window.

With the Blues having a cordial relationship with Brighton, having paid well for Marc Cucurella and Moises Caicedo, they could easily seal a contract for Ferguson.

Aside from players, Chelsea also recently had former manager Graham Potter and several backroom staff from the Aeagulls at Stamford Bridge.

However, the only issue would be whether Chelsea are ready to meet Ferguson’s release clause.

This is owing to the fact that he recently put pen to paper on a new contract in November and is valued more than the £115 million British record fee Chelsea paid for Caicedo.

There are also reports that Ferguson is in no rush to leave the Seagulls.
