Chelsea to sell four players in one week

Chelsea’s new manager Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly set to sell at least four Chelsea players in one week.

This is according to the UK Telegraph, which claimed it was an order to avoid a potentially awkward start to his time in charge.

Chelsea are expected to commence their pre-season training next Wednesday.

However, they will be without the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly, Mateo Kovacic, Edouard Mendy, Kai Havertz and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who have all sealed transfers away from Stamford Bridge.

Mason Mount is already on his way out as he is expected to officially join Manchester United this week.

Aside from these, four of the Blues’ other players are also hoping to leave.

Pochettino only “wants to work with players who want to be at the club”, meaning there is just one week left for them to leave before the pre-season starts.

Romelu Lukaku is determined to make a return to Inter Milan, where he spent the last season on loan.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has also been linked to Saudi Arabia, while Hakim Ziyech’s move to Al-Nassr has now stalled.

Christian Pulisic has also been named among those who could leave Stamford Bridge this summer, with AC Milan and Lyon interested in him.
