Chelsea’s idea of signing Cristiano Ronaldo is not dead yet as a new report has suggested that they would return for him in the January transfer window.

The Blues had made a move to sign Ronaldo who was keen to leave Man Utd during the summer window but the deal didn’t materialise.

A part of the reason for this was a result of Thomas Tuchel,  former Chelsea coach not wanting the Portugal star in his squad.

The reports revealed Tuchel who was the manager at the club, disagreed with co-owner Todd Boehly over signing Ronaldo.

Instead, the Blues signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona, as Tuchel sought to reinforce his attacking options.

With Tuchel now being replaced by Graham Potter, there are claims the Blues will return for Ronaldo in January.

According to Fichajes, Potter will adopt a different stance than the German manager and make a January bid to test the waters.
