Chelsea target prefers move to EPL over PSG
Chelsea may have been handed a transfer boost in their bid to sign Victor Osimhen from Italian club Napoli amid interest from French club PSG.
This comes as journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claimed Osimhen favours a transfer to the Premier League.
The Nigerian forward who has been linked to Chelsea and Arsenal is said to be prepared to wait until one of the Premier League clubs come calling in the summer.
The Italian transfer insider stressed that while PSG are interested in Osimhen, they may face difficulty convincing him to join them because he wants to play in the Premier League.
Di Marzio said the possibility of playing in France again does not excite Osimhen, who has already played in the French Ligue 1 with Lille.
The journalist added that while playing with PSG is different because Osimhen could get to play games like Champions League semi-final, the Nigerian, however, prefers England.
Meanwhile, Osimhen would have been a good deal for Arsenal, but his high price tag could be make the Gunners back down, with his release clause around £113 million.
A move to Chelsea would come as a surprise especially as the Blues wouldn’t be playing in the Champions League next season.
