Chelsea have suffered a transfer blow in the ongoing January window.

This comes as the latest report has revealed that Barcelona defender, Sergino Dest, will not be leaving Camp Nou during the January transfer window, despite the interest for him from the European champions.

This was made public by Michael Reschke, Head of European Football at ICM Stellar Sports, who represents Dest.

The Blues had earlier have been linked with a keen interest for Dest this January transfer window.

Dest moved to Camp Nou from Dutch club Ajax in 2020, but he has struggled to become a regular player.

The defender is also struggling with injuries which has also affected his chances at the club.

While Barcelona have offloaded Phillipe Coutinho, who is now a player at Aston Villa, it is unknown if they will sell Dest as well.

Speaking on the development, Reschke categorically told BILD: “He has no intention of changing clubs.”

Chelsea hoped to bring in Dest this January as a left wing-back after losing Ben Chilwell to injury for the rest of the 2021/22 campaign.
