Chelsea have reportedly submitted their first bid for Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.

The report revealed the Blues are looking forward to signing a new goalkeeper after following Edouard Mendy’s exit to create competition for their No.1 Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Sanchez is said to have reached a personal agreement with the Blues.

The 25-year-old keeper’s service is no longer wanted by the Sea Gulls as he lost his place in their first team to goalkeeper Jason Steele back in March.

A report via The Athletic revealed that the West London side have now made their first offer for the 25-year-old.

The report, however, stressed that while Brighton are yet to officially respond to the Blues’ opening bid, discussions over a transfer are ongoing.

Meanwhile, Brighton seems to be preparing for life without Sanchez next season as he was left out of their pre-season squad.

Should he leave, the Seagulls already signed Bart Verbruggen this summer as his replacement.
