Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi will not be switching allegiances to Ghana, according to The Athletic reporter Simon Johnson.

Hudson-Odoi has become an essential player in the Chelsea set-up ever since he rose to stardom some season ago, and he has been able to make his debut for England.

The talented singer has featured for England under Gareth Southgate but failed to make the team that represented the three lions at the just concluded European Championship.

Having failed to break into Chelsea’s first team under Thomas Tuchel, they are indication that he might struggle to make England’s national team.

Reports from Ghana have now claimed that the Ghanian FA are working with the government to convince Hudson-Odoi to switch allegiances.

However, that might not come to pass as The Athletic’s Simon Johnson understand that Hudson-Odoi is not ready to switch allegiance.

Simon Johnson noted that there is no substance to Callum Hudson-Odoi switching international allegiance from England to Ghana, and it won’t be happening.

According to Simon, Hudson-Odoi is only 20 and has plenty of time and ability to add to his three England caps.
