Former Chelsea player, Frank Leboeuf, has slammed the club over their decision to sell Italian midfielder Jorginho to Arsenal during the January transfer window.

According to Leboeuf, Jorginho is useful for Arsenal but not useful for Chelsea, as he stressed that the Italian was a leader in the midfield when he was at Stamford Bridge.

Recall that Jorginho moved to Emirates on transfer deadline day for £12 million and has been impressive for the Gunners.

Jorginho played a key role in Arsenal’s last-gasp Premier League 4-2 win against Aston Villa over the weekend.

Arsenal are now back on the top of the EPL table with two points ahead of Man City.

On the other hand, Chelsea are struggling for form this season and are currently seated in the 10th position and 23 points behind Arsenal.

Leboeuf while speaking on Jorginho’s departure told ESPN:

“I don’t see any players with leadership. They are all 20-21 years old, they have great futures. We saw that today with Jorginho and Arsenal. It is crazy that I have to say that Jorginho was very useless for Chelsea but so useful for Arsenal.”

“We have to find leaders in the middle of the park or in the spine, which we don’t have at Chelsea. Nobody is a leader.”
