Chelsea are ready to battle fellow Premier League club Manchester United for the signature of 19-year-old Moises Caicedo who is currently on fire for Independiente del Valle in Ecuador, according to Daily Mail.

Top clubs across Europe are already planning for the way forward when it comes to transfer of players in and out of their club as the January transfer window continue to draw nearer.

Moises Caicedo has been able to catch the attention of top clubs across Europe who are ready to invest in his talent due to the good form he has found himself in the past few seasons.

According to report, Manchester United are interested in signing the youngster but will be facing stuff competition from Chelsea who are feeling the good impact that comes with having a youthful team.

Reports in South America claim that the Ecuadorian midfielder is poised to join United in a £4.5million deal but Chelsea are hoping they can convince him in rethinking his decision.

The emergence of Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount has become an evidence that youths are given more chance at the club and this has given Chelsea some glimpse of hope when it comes to securing a deal for the midfielder.
