Chelsea reportedly join Man Utd in the race for Red Bull striker

The latest report claimed Chelsea have joined Manchester United in the race for Red Bull Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko this summer.

With days to the end of the summer transfer window, the Blues are keen on making some new signings and Sesko may be a part of them

The Slovenia striker became a centre of attraction for many clubs across Europe after he scored 11 goals and contributed seven assists in 37 appearances for the Austrian champions in the 2021-22 season.

Sesko has been linked with a move away from Salzburg and Stamford Bridge could be his next destination.

An earlier report claimed that Man United were monitoring the situation and could make an offer for him.

Aside from Man Utd, the likes of Real Madrid, Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham Hotspur are said to be interested in signing him.

According to Media Foot, Chelsea are also set to join the race for the 19-year-old as Thomas Tuchel looks to strengthen his attacking options.

While the Blues have signed Raheem Sterling from Man City this summer, they are still looking to make further additions to the final third after the departure of Romelu Lukaku, who the impending departure of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner.
