A recent report via the Standard UK has revealed several Chelsea players are solidly behind their manager Mauricio Pochettino amid calls for his sack by fans.

Pressure mounted on Pochettino after the Blues lost to Arsenal in a 5-0 scoreline in the Premier League.

There have been calls for the Blues hierarchy to bring in a replacement for the Argentine but Chelsea players are said to favour stability over another managerial change and further upheaval.

Recall that the Blues signed Pochettino last summer and he penned a two-year deal with options to extend.

However, with Chelsea to miss out of playing in Europe next season, Pochettino’s job is now at stake.

Aside from Chelsea players, there are claims other key people at Stamford Bridge want the Argentine to remain at the club especially as he has had to deal with incessant injuries from a young squad.

With six more games to go before the season ends, Pochettino is expected to give an assessment of the Blues players before making a recommendation on how Chelsea transfer plans should go.

Popular transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has said Chelsea would wait the end of the season before holding talks with Pochettino on his future at the club.
