Chelsea need two years to get to desired level

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has said the club need two years to reach the desired level.

So far this season, the Blues have won just one of their first six matches in the Premier League.

It is a poor start to the season for the Blues in 45 years, and pressure from fans are now on Pochettino just months into his time at Stamford Bridge.

Pochettino penned a two-year contract when he arrived at Stamford Bridge in the summer.

When asked how long it would take for his project to pay off given the length of his contract, he told Sky Sports: “Two years? I think I understand because the owners and sporting director they explain – it is about [knowing] people and if they are happy with us and we are happy with them.

“We are working. It is not a problem to have two years or five years or a ten year contract – the most important [thing] is to be in the right project and for them to have identified us as the right people to drive this ship.”
