Chelsea might have to break transfer record to sign Bayer Leverkusen attacker

Chelsea would supposedly need to break their transfer record sign Bayer Leverkusen attacker Kai Havertz this present summer’s transfer window.

The Blues have been firmly connected with a move for the Germany attacker, who has scored multiple times and contributed eight assists in 38 appearances during the 2019-20 season.

Kai Havertz’s present worth is £85m, Chelsea would need to break their transfer record to sign the talented youngster.

Chelsea paid a club-record £72m fee to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Bilbao in 2018, they also paid £60m to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid in 2017.

Kai Havertz, who has also been connected with Real Madrid and Manchester United, will see his current deal at the Bay Arena lapse toward the end of the 2021-22 season.

The adaptable attacker has scored multiple times in his last five Bundesliga appearances.

It will be good for Chelsea Football Club if they could sign Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen.
