Chelsea, Liverpool are too strong to let Man Utd win an EPL title

Former Man City defender Micah Richards has claimed that it would take Man Utd at least two years to win the EPL title.

Man Utd since the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, have not won any trophy; while they hope to win a trophy this season, the chances are, however, very slim.

At the moment, the Red Devils are seated outside the top four on the EPL log table, and Richards believes their rivals Chelsea and Liverpool are too strong for them to win a title.

“I think if they are ever going to win the league or a trophy, it will be in these next two years, even though I don’t think they will,” Richards said on the BBC’s Match of the Day Top 10 podcast.

He stressed that Man Utd lacked a defensive midfielder and would only come close to winning the EPL title.

“We are talking about Fred and Matic in that position. McTominay has been injured, though. Paul Pogba’s better going forward.

“We are talking about defensively, I can’t see it.
“Varane is quality, the backline is superb but the holding midfield role I am not sure about,” Richard added.
