Chelsea Join Liverpool and Man Utd in Pursuit of Real Madrid Midfield Star

Chelsea have reportedly joined Liverpool and Manchester United in exploring a potential move for Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga this summer.

The French international remains one of Europe’s most highly regarded young midfielders, but his 2025/26 campaign proved challenging. A combination of injuries and inconsistent form limited his impact at Real Madrid and ultimately cost him a place in France’s squad for the 2026 World Cup.

Camavinga has been with Real Madrid since joining from Rennes in 2021 and remains under contract at the Santiago Bernabéu until 2029. Despite his long-term deal, speculation over his future has intensified following reports that his market value has dropped significantly over the past year.

Liverpool and Manchester United have long been admirers of the versatile midfielder and were previously linked with a summer approach. Now, fresh reports suggest Chelsea have also entered the race, with all three Premier League clubs making enquiries regarding his availability.

Chelsea’s interest is particularly noteworthy given the arrival of Xabi Alonso as the club’s new manager from July 1. The former Real Madrid coach is expected to play a major role in shaping Chelsea’s recruitment strategy, and Camavinga is believed to be among the players admired at Stamford Bridge.

Although Real Madrid are not actively seeking to sell the 23-year-old, interest from England continues to grow as clubs monitor his situation closely. Camavinga is capable of playing in multiple midfield roles and can also operate at left-back, making him an attractive option for teams seeking both quality and versatility.

For now, there is no indication that a transfer is imminent, but with several Premier League giants showing interest, Camavinga’s future is likely to remain a major talking point throughout the summer transfer window.
