Chelsea flop tipped to return to the EPL, to join rival

Former Chelsea and now RB Leipzig player Timo Werner has been tipped to return to the Premier League.

A recent report via Sky Germany revealed the 27-year-old who played for Chelsea in the Premier League, is set to join Tottenham.

The Hotspurs are keen on signing Werner on loan until the end of the season.

While Werner has also been linked to Manchester United in the January transfer window, he now looks to be heading back to London this month.

Tottenham are expected to cover his full salary until the end of the current campaign.

The reason for Tottenham’s interest in Werner is due to the fact that they will be without club captain Heung-Min Son for at least a month due to his participation in the Asia Cup and there are fears Alejo Veliz has suffered a long-term knee injury.
