Chelsea have been told they just have a little shot at signing Erling Haaland this summer after a report asserted Thomas Tuchel has set a timeline on his transfer.

The Norway international has become one of the world’s most desired talents. Thus, he has had solid connections with a move to the Premier League for quite a while. Manchester United had interest, however their signing of Jadon Sancho has ruled them – for this summer at least.

Manchester City also want the 20-year-old, but Pep Guardiola has tossed new uncertainty over his side’s chances.

Thusly, Chelsea remain the only Premier League side with strong connections to Haaland’s transfer. Owner Roman Abramovich has apparently made it his own personal goal to sign the prolific goal scorer.

The striker has a £66m release clause that comes in play in summer 2022. Nonetheless, it’s recently been asserted that Abramovicvh would go as high as £150m if Dortmund will sell this present summer.

It’s recommended that down to the sheer weight of that bid, BVB would have no option than to acknowledge the offer.

Presently BILD have a report on Chelsea’s quest for Haaland.

The German publication claims Thomas Tuchel is ‘in a rush’ to get the signing wrapped up and wants it done ‘right away’.

With the Blues prepared to offload Olivier Giroud, it’s asserted Tammy Abraham could leave soon. Also, Tuchel wants Erling Haaland sign quickly to make up for that void.

However, BILD don’t fancy Chelsea’s possibilities of signing the 20-year-old. They state Dortmund would prefer to sell him the following summer notwithstanding having the option to sell for a far superior fee this time.

Having effectively agreed the offer of Jadon Sancho for £73m, Dortmund are under no financial strain to sell. Thusly, they state Haaland plans to spend the 2021/22 season at the Westfalenstadion.
