Former Premier League player, Jamie Carragher has sent a warning message to Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window.

Amid the clubs’ transfer plans, Carragher advised them against signing Amadou Onana from Everton.

So far, there are growing reports that Manchester United are considering tabling an offer Belgian midfielder with Arsenal and Chelsea, also said to have had him on their target list since the January window.

However, the Toffees wouldn’t let Onana leave unless their asking price of £50 million is met.

While the interested clubs are impressed by Onana’s form, Carragher is doubtful of the Belgium international following his performance in Everton’s 6-0 defeat to Chelsea on Monday.

He said on Sky Sports,

“I must say this, Onana may be a player who Everton has to sell with the situation they find themselves in financially. He came in with a huge reputation.

“I don’t see it. I haven’t seen it since he’s been there. I don’t know what he is. Is he a holding midfield player?

“Does he get forward? Does he get involved? The only thing I’ve seen him do is lift the crowd, that is all I ever see him do when he plays for Everton.”
