With less than four weeks to the commence of the Winter transfer window in January, there are likely to be rumours of clubs interested in one player or the other.

In this case, Chelsea have been reportedly linked with Porto player Luis Diaz.

And a recent update has claimed that Porto are willing to part ways with the playmaker for a transfer fee fixed at £42m.

Diaz, who is from Colombia, has emerged as the key player at the Portuguese club, scoring 12 goals and creating two assists from 17 starts in all competitions so far this season.

However, going by the transfer rumours, there are speculations that the 24-year-old will be making a move to the Premier League.

According to Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra, he claimed Chelsea are among the clubs who have been informed that Diaz could be available for a fee lower than his release clause.

Although the Columbia international’s contract comes with an option stating that £68m would be required to initiate discussions, Sierra, however, says that Porto are willing to settle for £42m.

Apart from Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle United have also been linked with moves for the player, which could happen in one of the upcoming transfer windows.
