Chelsea winger and England international Callum Hudson-Odoi has applauded coach Thomas Tuchel for his impressive performance this season.

Hudson-Odoi reckoned that he is now playing with more freedom under the German coach while comparing it to his station under Frank Lampard and Maurizio Sarri.

The 21-year-old winger made his return to the Blues line up for the contest against Aston Villa after being side-lined with Covid-19 during the build-up to Christmas.

During the match vs Aston Villa, Hudson-Odoi showed just why Thomas Tuchel had to include him in the game from the start.

He created assists in the first two Chelsea goals as he managed to win the penalty that led to Jorginho’s equaliser in the first half, then delivered a peach of a cross for Romelu Lukaku.

“I think he’s just made me play with more freedom and told me to be myself,” Hudson-Odoi told Stadium Astro.

“He knows what I’m capable of and knows my ability, so he’s telling me to do all of that in training games and to put that in matches.”
