Chelsea were in action over the weekend against Newcastle United in the Premier League.

Former Liverpool star, Jamie Carragher, in a reaction to the match singled out Cole Palmer for praise following the Chelsea attacker’s phenomenal long-range pass in their 2-1 win against Newcastle United on Sunday.

The Blues performance showed they were the better side as they defeated the Magpies at Stamford Bridge.

One of the highlights from match was when Palmer pinged a 60-yard pass into the path of Pedro Neto and the latter then set up Nicolas Jackson with a low cross leading to the Blues’ first goal.

Reacting to goal, Carragher while speaking via Sky Sports said the pass was over 60 yards as he described it as one of the best passes he has seen in the Premier League.

“Taking two or three Newcastle players out and then just on a plate for Neto, and Jackson in the right place,” Carragher said.

After the first goal, Newcastle United secured an equaliser through Alexander Isak in the 32nd minute going into half-time.

However, Palmer came to the Blues’ rescue with a second goal in the second half as they won all three points against the Magpies.
